VNIIRA-OVD JSC has accumulated
VNIIRA previous experience, has
realized and is successfully
developing a new generation of
ATC automation facilities.
In 1993, VNIIRA-OVD JSC in
cooperation with SIEMENS-ATM and
RGP "KAZAERONAVIGATSIA" worked
out "The Project and Program of
ATC system Modernization for
Kazakhstan Republic" and
participated in its successful
realization concerning the
equipping of 13 radar sites on
the basis of 4 RADUGA-2 SSRs,
and 9 MSSR-JACs, with automation
complexes, providing complete
coverage of upper airspace.
 Afterwards,
realizing this program
VNIIRA-OVD JSC provided a
delivery of 10 additional sets of
area-terminal MSSR-JAC, equipped
the ATC area and Schimkent
airport area with SINTEZ-KSA
integrated complex of ATC
automation facilities, and all
14 areas of air traffic
servicing with SINTEZ-ARM-R -
automated controller working
positions completing ATC
automation over the Kazakhstan
Republic territory.
At that, area and terminal ATC
automated working positions (CWPs)
are used as "by-pass" subsystem
at Almaty and Aktjubinsk
automated ATC centers.
 Now
VNIIRA-OVD JSC is realizing the
Modernization Program on
equipping TWRs of 11 airports
with terminal ATC automated CWPs.
SINTEZ-T controller simulators
have been delivered and are
successfully operated at ATM
centers of Almaty, Schimkent,
Aktjubinsk, Astana. The
simulator center at Almaty was
built up on the basis of "SINTEZ-TC"
- complex system simulator.
RADUGA-2 RSAC and the complex of
area and terminal CWPs have been
delivered to Azerbaizhan
Republic and are successfully
operated.
SINTEZ-AR2 area terminal
automated integrated ATC system,
realized in compliance with
advanced EUROCONTROL
Recommendation according to
EATCHIP Phase III Program, was
delivered to Belarus Republic
for Minsk joint area and Minsk
airport.
In
Russia the following systems
have been implemented and are
successfully operated:

 SINTEZ-A2
Automated ATC system with
full scale flight data
subsystem at Khabarovsk and
Pulkovo airports.
- SINTEZ-KSA UVD - at
Sochi airport.
- Area SINTEZ-ARM-R at
Khabarovsk, Ekimchan,
Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Sov
Gavan ACCs.
- RADUGA-2 RSAC automation
complexes on SSR base at 5
Radar Sites.
- 9 monopulse MSSR-JACs at
7 RSACs of Moscow Center
and also at RSACs of Pulkovo
and Kaliningrad.
- The preparatory works on
equipping the Far East joint
area with modern ATC
automation facilities,
including SINTEZ-R2
automated ATC system, 16
automated en-route Radar
complexes, data
communication,
transmission and other equipment are being carried out.
