Purpose

The unit for signals transmission via physical line - (BFL) TALM.465645.003 is a specialized modem intended for data transmission via leased wire physical communication line in synchronous and asynchronous modes and also for data transmission to data processing equipment from the telegraph channel.

Main functions:
  • Data reception and transmission via wire communication lines;
  • Realization of data exchange both asynchronously and synchronously;
  • Galvanic source/information user separation;
  • Reception of ±25V two-polar and 60V one-polar signals from the telegraph
    communication channel;
  • Delivery of receiving and transmitting data to DTE (data terminal equipment) or to the
    Computer.

Main application

BFL is used for realization of data exchange between the ATC controller center automation facilities and the information sources located in the area of the base airport where the controller center is deployed.

Main performance specifications

BFL contains signals receiver and transmitter, interfaced with wire physical lines on one hand and the user DTE on the other hand.
The transmitter and the receiver have symmetric (ground isolated) input and output respectively.
Sensitivity of BFL signals optronic receiver - 0.5mA.
BFL receiver contains built-in-test of the signals state in the communication channel with output to LED.
BFL also contains built-in 220V 50Hz power supply.
BFL provides data transmission by asynchronous and synchronous methods using the RS-232 interface and also by asynchronous method using a telegraph channel:
