Purpose
Communication channels switching unit (BKKS)
ÒÀLÌ.465273.001 is intended for switching any cable
communication channel in one of 3 directions. It is used
in radar systems for switching to backup communication
lines from cable communication channels to relay line
and vice versa. Control of channels switching in BKKS
can be realized off-line in «local» control mode or by
controlling Computer (for instance, from automated
working position of shift engineer in «remote» control
mode.
Main functions:
- Switching of cable channels to 3 directions;
- Built-in display, indicating the unit status and
communication channels configuration;
- Saving of the current configuration in case of
power down and subsequent power supply recovery.
- Hand (local) and automated (remote) modes for
unit switching;
In «local» mode:
- Selecting of 3 channels switching configurations
(set by Customer) on the front panel.
In «remote» mode:
- Switching of any number of channels (from one up
to all) by one command from controlling computer;
- The unit status and communication channels
configuration information transmission to the
controlling computer via RS-232 C interface;
- In case of several BKKS units connected in series,
requests/responses are sent to the next BKKS unit or
Computer at mismatch of command’s address with own
BKKS’s address.
Main performance specifications:

-
Number of cables switched in one
channel simultaneously - 4
-
Number of switching channels for 1
BKKS unit (versions set) - 8, 16, 24, 32
-
Number of BKKS units in one circuit
controlled by Computer - from 1 up to 4
