Surveillance and Communication Transceiving Base Station (BPPS-NS)

Main performance specifications
  • Coverage area in ADS-V/1090 ES mode and mode S LPD:
    - by range - up to 250 km;
    - by altitude - up to 12 km;
    - in azimuth - 3600;
    - by elevation - (0.3 - 45)°.
  • Minimum range - 1 km.
    Availability of the respective functional supplementary facilities to GPS and GLONASS
    systems provides the compliance with the requirements to the quality of navigation
    information concerning the data accuracy, integrity, availability and the aircraft servicing
    continuity, which is automatically transmitted by the aircraft via "down link"
  • Maximum number of aircraft being simultaneously in the Station coverage area and tracked by one Station - 100;
  • Probability of the squitters information refreshment per 1 second with interrogation
    suppression when 100 aircraft are in the coverage area of 10 SSRs must be not worse than 0.95.
  • Operation frequencies in ADS-V/1090 ES mode and mode S LPD:
    - downlink - 1090 + 3.0 MHz;
  • Duty cycle provided by transmitting modules in pulse and pulse-phase modes - not less than 100;
  • Transceiving antennas polarization in ADS-V/1090 ES mode and mode S LPD - vertical;
  • Realized data exchange:
    In ADS-V/1090 ES mode - transmitting the information of the squitters, generated by the ADS-V/1090 ES airborne equipment (surveillance mode format - DF 17, 18) to the ATC centers, including the information on aircraft address, aircraft location in the air/on the ground, aircraft status, aircraft type and identification code, aircraft airspeed, incident information, accident and priority information.
    In mode S LPD - providing broadcast TIS-B data transmission to aircraft equipped with 1090 MHz airborne receivers;
  • Station interface with one or two user systems in one of the following ways:
    - via "Ethernet" type local net in accordance with TCP/IP protocols;
    - via one or two leased communication channels (digital channels, tone frequency channels and physical lines can be used);
    - via ATN.
    Interfacing with communication channel on the physical level is realized in accordance with RS-449 (V.36 ITU-T), RS-232S and V.35 interfaces.
    Data rate - (9 600 - 64 000) bps.
    Surveillance and Communication Transceiving Base Station datalogical interface with the user systems is realized in accordance with the EUROCONTROL ASTERIX standard;
  • Continuous station operability monitoring by:
    - remote Parrot;
    - built-in monitoring subsystem;
    Monitoring comprehension - not less, than 0.95, validity - not less, than 0.98;
  • All information being received or transmitted to ATC center and equipment status and operability information recording and playback;
  • Power supply from by AC power system of 220V±10% V, 50±1 Hz (I category "PETS-85"). In case of AC power down, the operation from uninterrupted power supply for not less, than 20 minutes is provided.
  • Ready status after switching on the equipment - not less than 1 min.
  • Longevity and reliability parameters:
    - MTBF - not less, than 20000 hours;
    - MTTR - no more, than 20 min.
  • Continuous round-the-clock operation under the following conditions:
    - Operation temperature:
       - Container equipment, antenna module, ATC center building - +5°C - +40°C
       - Antenna equipment - -50°C - +50°C
    - Humidity:
       - Container equipment, antenna module, ATC center building - 80 % at t = 25°C
       - Antenna equipment - 98% at t = 25°C
    - Atmospheric pressure - > 525 mm merc. col.
  • Antenna system operates at wind speed up to 30 m/s and must be tolerant to wind effect at wind speed up to 50 m/s.
  • Antenna system operates at ice covering up to 4 mm.

Adaptation capability

Surveillance and Communication Transceiving Base Station can be adapted to operation conditions, Station equipment configuration requirements, placing of equipment, integration with other type equipment and to data exchange with ATC centers protocol.
