Simulator provides:

• Training and retraining of Flight Supervisor Group personnel and combat control officers in control of aircrews of different types aircraft within responsibility and combat areas;
• Training of flight supervisor group and combat control officers interaction;
• Training of HQ combat control group interaction (guidance point);
• Training of Flight Supervisor Group personnel and combat control officers interaction and correct decisions making in special cases and conflict situations;
• Improving skills in eye aiming at air and ground-based targets;
• Training of flight Supervisor Group and combat control officers at control areas structure changing, relocation to another aerodromes, and also at new aircraft and radar facilities study;
• Training of combat control officers in aiming at air and ground-based (sea) targets under the conditions of jamming and interferences;
• Training of flight supervisor group in operation at conflict situations on ground;
• Training of Flight Supervisor Group at ground-based flight control facilities failure;
• Keeping a required level of combat control officers practical skills in simultaneous aiming of maximum number of aircraft;
• Training of Radar operators in radio-technical forces.

The control and monitoring functions are performed by instructors whose tasks are as follows:

• Trainees performance monitoring for the assessment of their practical combat operation skills;
• Evaluation of the created air situation compliance with exercise aims and tasks.
• Intervention or help for learning methods of resolving different conflict situations appeared during air situation development process;

Training quality assessment is performed by an instructor on the basis of his first-hand experience, combat training course regulations, methodical strategies of Practice Training Programs.

To help the instructor to evaluate the trainee operation during the exercise or the results of the exercise the Simulator can perform the following functions:

• Pause function holding a current information on the trainee WP and pseudo-pilot display with the possibility to continue the exercise at any time;
• Table containing the information on current flight parameters of aircraft in far, near and landing area and deviations from set trajectory;
• Time scale changing.
