Development Urgency

Good arrangement of combat training process for achieving high professional skills of pilots and Supervisor Group personnel was always a basis of combat training in Russian Federation Air Forces (AF) and is especially actual in our days because flight practice is insufficient.
In this connection the role of simulators in training process becomes significantly higher, especially while exercising combat missions and solving complicated tactical problems.
Existing standard simulators (КТС) provide only pilot training in flying at various flight stages and operation in special flight cases.
They allow to run 35-40% exercises of combat training course in average with substantial limitations, even while exercising the program of single crews training.
Besides, while exercising attacks on air targets using guns or ground targets with complicated aircraft maneuvers, the motor skills in operation with cockpit equipment are acquired; at that, a tactical technique training is excluded.
With the aim of forming conditions for aircrew and Supervisor Group personnel tactical training the experimental design work (EDW) in creation of a new generation simulation complex is realized. This simulation complex will provide a new type of training – group combat operation, and exercising new complicated tactical schemes by single crews and in group.

Purpose

The advanced Training Complex (Repiter-2M) is intended for joint training of air crews and complete Flight Supervisor Group in realizing individual and group operations under the conditions of radio electronic, fire, maneuvering counter measures.

REPITER-2M allows to exercise variants of tactical group combat operations (up to flight section inclusive), while using short, middle and long-range air-targets destruction weapon and Ground-based Control System.

REPITER-2M provides improving tactical skills while aiming at air, ground and sea targets, overcoming air defense system with real time estimation of combat situation results.

When carrying out complex training (crews on ARM-L, complete Supervisor Group personnel on their working positions) REPITER-2M provides:

• Joint flight personnel and Supervisor Group personnel training in carrying out all tasks, defined by combat training courses (up to a flight section inclusive;
• Joint flight personnel training (tactical operations group up to a flight section) and Supervisor Group personnel in tactical techniques used at performing combat operations under the conditions of fire, radio electronic and enemy maneuvering countermeasures.
• Joint flight crews and Supervisor Group personnel training in performing specific combat operations against tactical background corresponding to combat operations area;
• Comprehensive monitoring of the simulated air and tactical situation dynamics with playback capability.
  
  REPITER-2M will allow to realize ground tests of danger warning strategy, being developed for advanced BARELIEF operative-tactical AF training system.
