The following features are displayed on ARM-K:
- Air and ground tactical situation;
- Off-cockpit view;
- Cockpit view (flight instrumentation, ILS) of any
ARM-L (at option);
- Combat area map with friend and foe aircraft positions
indication.
Ghost operation for enemy maneuvers and jamming is
provided.
ARM-K provides the following capabilities:
- Definition of various missions for flight crews;
- Changing weather, air space and tactical situation
(Supervisor Group inclusive);
- Pause and resume of exercise on ARM-L by the
instructor decision;
- Repeating of any part of the exercise for repeated
training or for the analysis of group operations in
chosen part of the combat;
- Recording of the whole group training process with
subsequent playback for analyzing and estimating group
operation efficiency;
- Correction of background information (replacement of
armament types, changing original states, etc.)
At flight crew training, while performing tasks on a
training ground, a chief instructor can play
supervisor's role.
Performance Specifications
Simulated Air Space:
REPITER-2M simulates an air space up to 100 km radius
and 30000 height; air situation is simulated in real
time in the visibility area of two surveillance radars
(one controller radar with PSR and SSR channels and one
landing radar) one RSBN and one ADF.
Structure of simulated air space includes:
- Base aerodrome area with one runway and two take-off
and landing directions;
- Fire areas, IFR flights, on acceleration, on ceiling,
test ranges, civil air routes and corridors;
- Alternate aerodromes within the area of up to 400 km
radius;
- Landing area, near area, far area;
- Approach chart from the straight line with two
one-eighty turns, on wide pattern, on tight pattern form
point, circle in "critical point" mode.
The simulated airspace can be educational or real one.
Simulated aircraft:
REPITER-2M provides data on movement of approximately 80
controlled mathematical models of various types of
aircraft, including foreign ones both in and off radar
coverage areas. Movement of simulated aircraft taking
into account height layers and admissible speed range is
realized in accordance with their performance
characteristics, including:
- Climb and descent modes;
- Range of flight operational velocities, including
operation at afterburning;
- Fuel residue and consumption per hour;
- Type of airborne landing equipment;
- Transponder availability.
