Information displaying
facilities
Information
displaying facilities of the SINTEZ-T simulator are
similar to ASDs of simulated ATC systems.
The simulated air situation and also the following
information lists and tracking labels are displayed on
ASD as menu windows:
- Inbound, outbound, coast and holding area lists
with the capability of their on-line changing;
- Tracking labels with the capability of selecting
the type of data presentation in tracking labels.
For controller staff training and conflict situation
and accidents analysis the simulator can be supplied by
large-format displaying facilities on the base of video
projection system or any other
similar systems on the Customer requirements.
Simulation of visual ground
situation for TWR/Taxiing controllers training
The SINTEZ-T simulator is provided by the ARM-V module
intended for visual ground situation and aircraft
controlled movement on airfield (runways, taxiways and
aprons) simulation for TWR/Taxiing controllers training.
The main ARM-V functions are:
- Generating of 3d live terminal area situation
model, including runways, taxiways, aircraft
parkings, buildings, complete lighting equipment and
also moving objects (aircraft, tractors) depending
on the observer position;
- Simulation of daytime changing by illumination
change according to set time;
- Simulation of conflict situations on runways
(aircraft collision, fire, ornithological conditions
etc.);
- Complication of the trainee TWR/Taxiing
controller observation by simulation of fog with
adjustable hue and intensity;
- Simulation of observation angle changing (head
rotation).
Control and monitoring of
the training process
The
control and monitoring functions are performed by
instructors whose tasks are as follows:
- trainees performance monitoring for the
assessment of their practical ATC skills;
- intervention or help for learning methods of
resolving different conflict situations appeared
during presentation or in the air situation
development process;
- evaluation of the created air situation
compliance with exercise aims and tasks.
A training quality assessment is performed by an
instructor on the basis of his first-hand experience and
trainee operations evaluation parameters generated by
the "Observer" program:
- near miss (conflicting aircraft, minimal
distance, time of conflict);
- number of aircraft serviced during exercise;
- time of aircraft being in the control area;
- aircraft performing go-around flight without
trainee command;
- aircraft off the bounds of the simulated
airspace;
- number of commands for one aircraft.
Methodic intervention in the exercise process
(bringing in and removing of troubles, bringing in of
additional targets, exercise suspending and resuming
etc.) is performed by instructors coordinately with a
chief instructor.
