
Mode S SSR provides the following operation modes:
- monopulse mode - on the aircraft equipped with ATC RBS
and VRL UVD transponders;
- selective operation with the function of mode S
Elementary and Extended Surveillance and the possibility of
data transmission via up-link - on the aircraft equipped
with mode S transponders;
- mode S Extended Surveillance - on the aircraft equipped
with ES 1090 MHz equipment.
Mode S SSR contains:
- Dual-Band LVA Antenna;
- Six channel Rotary joint;
- Turning Gear;
- Dual-Band Digital Receiver (redundant);
- Solid State Transmitter (redundant);
- Drive Control (redundant);
- Data processor (redundant);
- BITE;
- Local and Remote Terminals;
- Remotely Controlled Parrot.
Mode S SSR “AVRORA” was designed using modern
technological solutions and electronics and meets last
requirements to the air situation data sources.
